As usual…I’m a little bit late with updates 🐌… There are recent photos from our Anniversary litter I’ve received from the owners recently (more correctly this year 😂). Anniversary puppies’ve celebrated their 4th birthday this year🎂. I would like to say huge thank you to their owners for taking such good care to their four-leg-🐩-partners.13
I’ve received very nice letter from our China (Anniversary China Ambershades), where she and her ownerlady describe all the experiences they’d had during whole year.
I’m trully glad and want to thank to whole family for the care of China.
congratulations to the puppies, they’re really cute, I would like to cuddle them all.
I know it’s been long since I wrote the last time news about China. Acualy, it’s been a year since I’ve sent the last news and photographs. We were to busy at all…
There are some news from our fluffy companion.
The last summer China spent whole month in Kolin with our friends who were caring for her when we were in wells. She was helping them with pouring the garden and also assisting to their medium poodle pack with barking.
China was a true hairy monster before leaving for Kolin.
When we arrived for picking her up, she had a wonderful summer clip.
Our balcony view. China is just observing in silent, when something catches her attention, not barking.
In September, China was confusing walks with degustations of anything possible so I lost the patience…
October walks, fur grooming and a trip to Chocen, where she enjoyed running on garden with a tennis ball 🙂
Autumn visit in Jiri
„I also want to pose for a picture“
In November we’re lazy as never 🙂
On December 1st there fell first snow
Pure joy 🙂
December winter laziness
On Christmas holiday we left for mountains to Janske Lazne. I’m not sure if China enjoyed more the snow or two labrador girls that were accompanying our friends. The girls were of the same size, hair colour, but about 10 kg heavier. In my opinion it was the snow, as she saw this big ammount of it for the first time in her life.
The main advantage (at least for our children) there was a second christmas present surprise, that they’ve found in the mountain cottage under the christmas tree. China also got a suprise – three nice tennis balls, used from tennis play before because these are trully the best 🙂
In February we’ve had a lot of time for playing and sleeping. China doesn’t matter if she thumbs in between rails with trains running around her 🙂
And after having a nice and snowy winter, we were having a hairy monster dog again. So we drove to Kolin for the grooming.
„Can you see me? I don’t see nothing.“
„I look nice, don’t I?“
„Let me sleep, it was such a bussy day for me!“
On last March day we’ve made a trip to a further part of our home town. It should have been just few kilometers long trip. Finally we spent a whole day outside. It’s been relatively warm so we let China to run the stream. Our vet dog was so happy. She was running, jumping and really enjoing that. She got dry before we returned home.
In April we made a trip along Vltava river and Slapy reservoir, that was at least for me a little bit exhausting. The pathway is very narrow and mostly leads with a rock on one side and escarpment for the water on the other side. Dad, children, uncle and China enjoyed that a lot, I was a little bit nervous about the children and China not to fall in the water.
„I should go through? Actually, there’s dark inside.“
„I like the water, what pitty it’s so deep.“
„Can I jump into it?“
„What is this? And why’re we standing here?” Water power station.
In May we made our traditional trip to Jachymov. One day the rain poured us to the bones, other trips were without rain.
The next day we visited our favourite pathways in Bozi Dar.
During the trip to Rotava we used a bad way and climbed there from an impassable side. What a surprise when we met other ten tourists on the top and we found out that from the correct side it is very easily accessible place.
Before the climb
Is this the way?

I want to walk the dog!
We’ve made a very detailed research of the former tin ore factory in Rolava. Our children liked the most the snow, China liked the most the water from the melting snow.
Right now, China is thumbing under the table by my legs faithfully. In summer there is a little bit hot in our flat, but outside there’s even hotter. Our afternoon walk are lazy and slow, we’re returning home grilled as sausagges.
Hello Minion, how do you do? I’ve heard you’d had a surgery. I hope your knee is recovering well. What did you do? I’m fortunately healthy, but I’m mostly walked on lead by my both big owners as I’m able to eat everything I find outside and then I don’t usually feel the best…
As a greeting I send you my show pictures. I’m just joking, I’m a hairy monster, so my ownerlady had to cut my excess hair before planned bathing and grooming just for just making that quicker. I’m still not being such a good friend with the dryer. Sometimes I still bark on the hoover, but very rarely now 😊.
And there are few pics after “aunt” Tereza grommed me. Don’t I look fabulous?
In May, me made a superb trip to Jachymov. It was pretty hot, but due to it they let me to taste some mountain streams. A little bit cold, but very tasty water. We walked in the forest, for a watchtower and on the pathways to Bozi Dar. We had really nice time there.
We went to see some strange ponds. The ownerlady said that these are the tanks for snow cannons. I didn’t understand what she means, but there was a very tempting duck in the water. I would like to jump to the water and play with it, but I wasn’t allowed.
Despite we visited a pastry shop in Ostrov, they didn’t let me to order any piece of cake or just an ice cream. They told me that it is not good for dogs. Finnaly, the good point of this trip was that dogs were allowed to visit a pallace park…
Our last trip in Jachymov was an anabase. In 40 minutes we climbed about a kilometer long route to Gorila Rock with 200 meter of cant. My big owners said it was very nice view from there, but I didn’t appreciate it. The climbing uphill was interesting for me – lots of twigs, spruces…and ticks. The route downhill was more interesting either. The two-leg company was sliding all the time. I don’t understand why we had to climb there, but in the end it was funny, when some people of my pack slided down over their butts😊.
Highways and byways

Do we really go downhill this way? Ok, it will be funny.
I usualy don’t use a lift this way, somebody might went crazy😊.
When it’s hot outsite, I usualy look like this. It’s pitty it’s too hot for dog scootering.
And Minion replies:
I’m glad for your letter. I even thank you for the pictures. I’m mostly closed home last days 🙁 so I’m happy to travel at least virtualy with your pics.
Well, I didn’t really do anything wrong, I just sliced a little by while walking outside and then started to limp a little bit. I didn’t mind, I had no problem running on the 3 spare legs, I even managed to hunt a chicken…But my ownerlady said me one day something about cruciate ligament rupture and that I have to go for the surgery. One afternoon I woke up with a funnel on my head, shaved leg and since then I’m going outside only on lead, exactly like you 🙁
Your trim is fine, I got lately Miami clip again. I was said it’s because of the shaven leg, but I’m suspicious that my ownerlady is just in love with this kind of clip and due to the surgery she doesn’t need to explain home why she groomed me like this…
I also like the ponds, last summer I learned to swim in Balaton. On the rehab, the vet said swimming will be also a part of my convalescence. I also would like to play with a duck :), but I will have to do it “secretely” otherwise my owners will not let me…
BTW I also know to use a lift, I use it while I’m going to our Grandma who takes care of me in days I have vet checks or rehabs. And my owners carry me like you last days frequently, I can’t climb stairs or jump anywhere.
So, thank you once again for the letter and let me know about your new trips.
We’ve received a big amount of pictures of China and also a letter written by China’s paw (maybe with a little help of her ownerlady). Wish you nice reading!
As usualy we hadn’t enjoyed snow in Prague a lot. But if there had been, both girls and China had had fun.
The little ownerlady Terezka celebrates her third b-day, so all the people who came to our home are there just because of cuddling me and playing with me. Or not? They didn’t let me to taste the cake, it was said not being for dogs or what…
I’d just found a perfect lair, even with a blanket inside prepared by my girls. I just don’t understand when they call it ‘their tent’.
I’m definitely not a dog, I’m a bear. Or not? Three months without grooming became evident. Also biting my hair while boring wasn’t much helpful.
After non-professional grooming hit
It was necessary to cut off some volume before bathing, just because of cleaning the coat to the deep and to be able to brush and comb whole hair from the bottom to the top. Almost noboty noticet that shame, it disappeard in few days. It really doesn’t look the best, but this was made after consulting it with my friend Tereza, who subsequently groomed a nice poodle from China again. She has my big thanks. China had bitten Tereza’s flowerpot instead of thanking her.
Nice again in the garden 😊
Resting, don’t disturb…
Trip for the Death pond near Jáchymov near Karlovy Vary.
Give me the blueberry…
Moss pathway posing near Boží Dar.
I’m getting dry on sun (brushed and combed😉), it’s just too hot for drying by a dryer. Thanks to it I can enjoy a walk without breathing like being finishing a Marathon run. (And my joy is twice as big because I deslike drying)
Few pictures from grooming.
A non-show posture in brand new clip 😊.
Hunter shelter posing near Kladno during our trip to lookout tower. Pack of girls, dads and two very ‘clean’ dog ladies – labrador girl and our China.
A lookout tower view from, where China couldn’t climb 😉.
In December our “puppies” from the Anniversary litter have celebrated 18 months of life and it means they’re adult in accordance with the Czech breeding regulations. But they will probably need some more time to get truly matured 🙂
On that ocassion, Woody‘s sent us some new pictures (together with his friend Zorba, running on the walk and his favourite position for having rest).
In mid December our Tess has celebrated 8th birthday and became a first veteran in our pack. We wished her a lot of health and many other years together.
And on 18 December sisters China a Minion met on an Advent Club show.
China got in the intermediate class Ex. 1 and a club CC. In the afternoon she was first in the competition Child and dog with her little ownerlady.
Minion got in competition in the open class Ex. 1 and club CC.
The weather outside was really bad, so we had no chance to have a walk and also the time for the indoor play was very short…
In mid October I had an opportunity to attend a seminar about insemination in dogs. The seminar was composed of two blocks. The first was led by a vet Ms. Prinosilova and dealt with male reproduction and insemination. The second block was led by a vet Mr. Vitasek a dealt about the reproduction and insemination from the femaile point of view. I must say I really appreaciate the knowledge of both speakers who had really deep insight of their issues and this is what is always really fine to listen to.
Diamond came for his regular grooming visit, this time after very unregular period. Popular sibling’s garden running with Minion took place.
…and of Donatello (his resemblance to Asterix’s and Obelix’s dog is just casual 🙂
We also got pictures of China on trip. It it sure that poodles are great outdoor dogs.
Two days with China
On the national holiday China came to visit us and also her teddy bear coat got a grooming. Before that the obligatory sibling’s running must have happen.
According to the dogshow next day it was neccesary to equip China properly for the evening walk in the rain 🙂
The next day (29/10) both girls were entered at international dogshow in Prague. The poodles were judged by a breed specialist from Belorussia, Ms. Galina Zhuk.
Minion in open class won the fist CAC for the Czech championships, the second CACIB for the international championship and BOS title. Really nice results for only 16 months of age and for still not showing herself as I know she could, but we are working on that.
China in junior class won excellent 1. This time without a title, but I appreciate she spent all the boring day on the dogshow feeling fine and not bored at all.
I had expected exactly contrary results, that confirms my actual life approach that I should stop thinking about things and let them flow…
Both girls made me really happy, they are super fine and cool 🙂 The picture of both of them together will arrive later (finally not only pictures of both girls together arrived, but a lot of other pictures of them alone. I added them to whole the post).
And for the end – one gorgeous portrait of China 🙂
The beginning of July we spent in Bechyně. China explored all the corners of an old cottage we staying in. While playing with a ball, she cleaned all the spider webs inside including the ones under the beds. She made a dog bed in the lawn in the yard where she comfortably spent the hot days. When Dad and children arrived, she switched laying in the flower bed and the lawn into soil digging together with children :-)…
Morning walks with aport training were replaced by siestas with a toy or without, because of really hot weather 🙂
In the second half of July we had a nice week in Starý Kolín with China. She had great days full of play together with three medium poodles from Teschiro and other five dwarves. The smaller poodle friends learned China how to bark because of everything (I’m glad that she’s calmed down back at home as the master dislike barking). China was all the time very helpful to water the lawn resulting in being even wetter than whole the garden :-).
And so the grooming of the fur took place.
In early August we left for a three days holiday to Krkonoše together with a lot of other children. The acommodation in one of the Meadow huts above Špindlerův Mlýn provided splendid sceneries with views to nature. China accompained us in i lot of nice walks. She was even allowed to use a chairlift uphill to Portášky chalet. The chairlift was for three person so I convinced the service we can travel together. Unlike me she enjoyed the getting out in an upper station and tried to jump back to the chair to have one more ride 😀
In mid-August we left for trip to Janské lázně and China together with us of course. This time she tried a cabin lift up to Černá hora. She jumped few times into moss and was pictured together with children on a huge stump. Together with us, China explored the Rocks of Adršpach including the hundreds of stairs on the way. She tried blueberries, fresh mountain spring water from local springs and some of them used also for bathing of herself :-).
Morning scooter trips
We had supposed different timing, but the nature does everything a different way, so China’s second heat arrived a little bit unexpected. It complicated a little bit our regular walks, because there were lots of dogs everywhere in the end of vacations. So, finally, we start to using a scooter for our walks, because…
At the beginning of May China tried out to run by a scooter that we borrowed from a scooter rental to test if we are able to travel this way together. Since then both me and China were looking forward to our rides together. Desgracially I had a bad luck and broke one of my toes. After few month of scooter break we resumed the scooter trips and we also added my elder daughter Majda on the bicycle. Our ride/run trips in three are even better :-).
This weekend was very succesful for our blond ANNIVERSARY blond sisters – China and Minion. The photo documentation is in process, just few pics by now and some more will be hopefully added later.
On Saturday, China (ANNIVERSARY CHINA Ambershades) was entered in the poodle specialty (first show ever for China either her ownerlady and a little ownerlady in the competition “Child and a dog”). In the youth class won Ex. 1, CAJC and Junior club winner with a very nice critique from Ms. Anna Törnlöv from Sweden. Also won the first prize in the “Child and a dog” competition. Thanks for the pictures to the owners and Teschiro kennel.
Minion had her day on Sunday being entered in the youth class in the Prague International dog show. She got Ex. 1, CAJC, BOJ and BOS and very nice critique from Mr. Nils-Arne Törnlöv from Sweden. His words warmed my heart (“I love this bitch, she will be BOB next year”). Wonderful pictures from Vendy Šlechtová.
We had two nice visitors – Tony (ANNIVERSARY TIN Ambershades) and his owners and in the afternoon also China with her ownerlady. Big thanks for photo of Tony to Hana Kašparová.
Big thanks to everybody involved, we had a nice day 🙂
Our Anniversary babies‘ve celebrated 9 months this week. They’ve grown up quickly in funny long legged big dogs. It’s just a pleasure for me to see all of them developing. I must say big thanks to the owners for the great care and the pictures of course.
China (ANNIVERSARY CHINA Ambershades) and Minion (ANNIVERSARY PEARL Ambershades) enjoyed mud running in our yard. To have more fun, China was – of course – freshly bathed…
Goldie (ANNIVERSARY GOLD Ambershades) doesn’t mind he’s a big dog now and enjoys a lap cudlling.
Woody (ANNIVERSARY WOOD Ambershades) has sent us two nice portraits and on picture from resting after having shower.
And finally some pictures from Diamond. He’s just a handsome boy. If we manage to grow up some coat on him, I would like to show him.
