June 2019

First June day in our garden

Finally, after several days of cold and rain, the Sun appeared. It would be pitty if I hadn’t taken few pictures. Starring: Jerry, Minion, Donatello a Tessinka.

Maja arrived for grooming

I’m always looking forward to grooming Maja, usualy as she does. She loves all the procedures from bathing thru drying to grooming.

Litter A celebrated  4th birthday

We received nice pictures and a video from Woody (Anniversary Wood Ambershades)

Jerry representing on European dogshow

Jerry and his realization dream team (thank you Vendy, thank you Mom!) were brave enough to attend a European dogshow in Austrian Wels with temperatures reaching more than 35°C. Jerry brought home a VG from an intermediate class, but we’re contented with the result.

Seven puppies born on June 17

This will be the main topic for us for few upcoming weeks…hope not to annoy you too much. More information about litter B you can find here.

April 2019

This April was “a month of our blond girls”. We spent a lot of time outside the house, solving Maja’s plain troubles, resting and we mostly had great time together. There are few pics from our days.

Tess and her own micro bed

I finally understood, why there was a hole in our curtain and why is was getting bigger and bigger 🙂

The girls were hunting a mole

And we were spending generaly a lot of time on the fresh air that was obviously exhausting, as you can see on Mr. Donatello

When Maja found out shes not able to satisfy her endless apetite anywhere else in our home, she ate some horse encyclopedies…

…and some more books, mostly educative ones…And an edge of my bachelor thesis and a diploma… My Mom admited that Maja’s is kind of study type equally as I am 😀

It resulted inevitable to make some protective solution of my libraty:

There are our girls in one of many walks by the river Sazava

Rainy Sundays are designed just perfectly for whole-day-stay-in-bed – exactly as Donatello is….

Charlie celebrated the 10th birthday

Selfie with Minion and Maja

I received a wonderful birhtday surprise from a very dear friend of mine Outi from Finland. Thank you very much for it <3

I had to try it on our girls on just next day. There’s Maja on the first pic a both girls on the second photo

As I’m mentioning the gifts, my poodle collection had expanded with two new chocolate poodles

There are few pictures from an Easter Monday from our garden

Donatello cares very carefully of our visits

And in the end, I probably should mention that “there’s something coming up”. You might should look here time to time, there will be an update soon 😉

December 2018

Trip to Prague CACIB

On the first December Sunday we made a trip to Prague CACIB show to show a big dogshow world to Jerry.

First of all, I had to bath and groom a hairy-monster adolescent not groomed for few months.

I was pretty contented with the result, considering Jerry’s back hair had about 5 cm before grooming 🙂

Since the last grooming Jerry matured and I must say he’s handsome boy 🙂

I’ve read a lot of hates for this autumn Prague show. The amount of people there was terrible as they made a one day show instead of two days. But Jerry was such a sweatheart! For the first time in this big world and did really well, I think even better than usualy Minion does, as she hates this kind of crowded places.

We were training

Very slightly…we strarted to train for the show ring 😀

Charlie in wellness

Charlie had a month wellness stay in our house. He had trouble with back pain due to his age and a former knee injury that hadn’t been excersized properly. Charlie was practicing hardly twice a day for gaining correct body musculature. In the end of his stay he had a manual therapy. Back home Charlie arrived moving freely and painlessly, thinner and generaly happier and at least five years mentally younger. Let’s see, how it develops in the future.

Jerry best junion male

On Sunday December 16 Jerry participated his first show ever. Trully historical moment. I’ve chosen one of my favourite clubshows – small Advent club specialty with great atmosphere.

Jerry is happy and funny adolescent, there’ll be a lot of work to make our show presentation perfect 🙂 Jerry baited me with ambling but also had nice rings troting properly. Finally was awarded with club junior CC from the class and #1 best junior male all sizes and colours from the finals. Poodles were judged by Ms Alena Kostalova.

Jerry was supported by his elder brother Hurmar and his ownerladies. We’re all pictured below.

We’re also pictured by a pro-photographer:

We really enjoyed this day, except a tragical experience in the hotel restaurant with an international impact. What a shame! The next time I will call for pizza delivery 🙂

I got wonderful christmas gift from our dear Finnish friends. Thank you very much, girls!

Christmas

Our Christmas were very very typical. The girls had a fight right under the christmas tree because of one of the new toys. On the next day we left for some fresh air to the mountains. After couple of years (and even more) we had wonderful white chrismas holidays.

On the way for the mountains we made a stop for a walk and we climbed to ruins of some former fortress.

Cestou na hory jsme si dali venčící mezipřistání a vyšplhali na zbytky nějaké tvrze:

For the rest of the week, we had views like this one…

On every day we had at least one realy big walk trip.

Tess, being five week after the knee ligament surgery, had kind of saving mode. I must it was self-denial for her 🙂 My barking back pack made a lot of smile on other tourist faces 😀

The fresh air realy exhausts 🙂

We had such a nice time <3

The second half of our dog pack on the last day of December made a trip to watchtower Spulka.

November 2018

November has been a creative and also a walking month. Due to the winter time we mostly walk the dogs with a torch after the darkness falls, so during the weekends we did a daylight walks together with a rest of our dog and family pack.

MinionDonatello and Tess had to wait until I clean up our family pub. Then we could walk for the nature. There’s Maja on the second picture watching the village aslo from the pub.

Tessie with broken knee ligaments participated our walks being carried. Thank god she weights only 2,5 kg.

And the rest of them were walking on their own…

We also spent few November afternoons sewing new winter dog jackets, while the girls were wathing the village center from the window…

And there they are… Charlie and Minion in the new jackets. On the second picture there’s Jerry in his new dinosaurus jacket 😀

Mmy shades of amber …

After few months I couldn’t work I started to groom our pack. Finally also Charlie is handsome nicely smelling boy. I must admit he’s enjoing the stay in house a lot 🙂

Tessie’s crucial ligament surgery was postponed for one week later. On this picture she’s one day after the surgery and trying to be a boss of my office. Just typical Tess. In the beginning of December we have an appointment for the control x-ray and then we will have other one and a half moth of a restricted calm regime.

October 2018

Our October was calm and resfull, compared to our active September.

As usual, my best partner for having rest was Donatello, but even the girls did great job 😀

Maja and her typical back-lying positions

But we had wondefull time, no boredom at all!

Girls had prepared a “sponge meal” to herself on evening 😀

Maja “uncommonly” helped me to “clean up” a cake form. It was a little bit not comfortable for her to navigate our articulate house wearing the form over her eyes, but she dit it 😀

I must admit that Maja’s eating habits had affected again the rest of our dogs so I will have to set up some stricter order when she leaves for home. And here we go again in 6 months again 😀

Tha last October Saturday our yorkie Tess jumped down the couch badly and broke the crutiate ligaments in her right knee. No, I’m not joking 🙁

Second Birthday of Anniversary Litter

UPDATED: added photos of Goldie

We can’t stop the time flying. Anniversary littermates‘ve celebrated the 2nd birthday!

We made a small family birthday party at home: from left above Minion, Maja, Charlie, Diamond, bottom from left Donatello and Tessinka.

Untill we managed to set all the dogs in their places for the picture, Maja has stolen few pieces of salmon from the birthday cake (quickly and unnoticed as usually).

We also got Woody‘s pictures of freshly-being-two-years-old – big thanks!

And this one is a birthday greeting picture of Pamino (Anniversary Wood Ambershades) from Facebook.

And also there are pictures from Goldie (Anniversary Gold Ambershades) just few days before he turned two.

And for those who’re interested how we’re passing the hot days – we can show that very very cool 🙂 We wish everyone to have cool summer!

October 2016

What were we doing in October?

We attended an international dogshow in Tulln in Austria.

Dog Insemination Seminar

In mid October I had an opportunity to attend a seminar about insemination in dogs. The seminar was composed of two blocks. The first was led by a vet Ms. Prinosilova and dealt with male reproduction and insemination. The second block was led by a vet Mr. Vitasek a dealt about the reproduction and insemination from the femaile point of view. I must say I really appreaciate the knowledge of both speakers who had really deep insight of their issues and this is what is always really fine to listen to.

Autumn arrived

Diamond came for his regular grooming visit, this time after very unregular period. Popular sibling’s garden running with Minion took place.

I took an autumn pic of Tess

…and of Donatello (his resemblance to Asterix’s and Obelix’s dog is just casual 🙂

We also got pictures of China on trip. It it sure that poodles are great outdoor dogs.

Two days with China

On the national holiday China came to visit us and also her teddy bear coat got a grooming. Before that the obligatory sibling’s running must have happen.

According to the dogshow next day it was neccesary to equip China properly for the evening walk in the rain 🙂

The next day (29/10) both girls were entered at international dogshow in Prague. The poodles were judged by a breed specialist from Belorussia, Ms. Galina Zhuk.

Minion in open class won the fist CAC for the Czech championships, the second CACIB for the international championship and BOS title. Really nice results for only 16 months of age and for still not showing herself as I know she could, but we are working on that.

China in junior class won excellent 1. This time without a title, but I appreciate she spent all the boring day on the dogshow feeling fine and not bored at all.

I had expected exactly contrary results, that confirms my actual life approach that I should stop thinking about things and let them flow…

Both girls made me really happy, they are super fine and cool 🙂 The picture of both of them together will arrive later (finally not only pictures of both girls together arrived, but a lot of other pictures of them alone. I added them to whole the post).

And for the end – one gorgeous portrait of China 🙂

Spring 2014

It is long time ago we published some news for the last time. We’re interesting and active spring.

Maja is officially a brood bitch

In March we passed with Maja club breeding examination and Maja is officially a brood bitch. The same time she got into her first heat, now she is my big adult girl. If you are interested in Maja’s health testing results, you can find them here. Maja’s full set of teeth and she is 57 cm tall. During this year I’m planning to have the genetic testing for both standards done.

Agility and obedience trainings

We managed to find agility and basic obedience training nearby, so since April we are participating the courses. We have no sporting ambitions, it is rather our hobby. Despite our expectations the dog who fell absolutely in love with agility was Charlie. Maja started to enjoy the trainings just after we showed her the beam. Donatello and Tess also participated two lessons of agility with us and enjoyed it well.

Shows

This year we made a long show pause. First reason are our new sporting activities, second was Maja’s growing hair after Charlie’s grooming first experience in January. By the time the hair was almost grown up in May (and when I entered Maja for a show) Charlie tried his “grooming” skills again and ate her hair for the second time, this time only on one side. If everything goes well and I will be able to keep Maja’s ear hair long, the lack of hair could be hidden under the ear hair.

Last weekeng me and Charlie participated after a year pause small club show five minutes driving from home. Charlie was entered for the first time in the honour class winning Ex.1 and club-CC. This was a nice end to his succesfull show carrier. After arriving home I groomed him in terrier clip for enjoying more the garden, the agility and feeling better in summer.

Hope to update the blog sooner than the last time!
