November 2018

November has been a creative and also a walking month. Due to the winter time we mostly walk the dogs with a torch after the darkness falls, so during the weekends we did a daylight walks together with a rest of our dog and family pack.

MinionDonatello and Tess had to wait until I clean up our family pub. Then we could walk for the nature. There’s Maja on the second picture watching the village aslo from the pub.

Tessie with broken knee ligaments participated our walks being carried. Thank god she weights only 2,5 kg.

And the rest of them were walking on their own…

We also spent few November afternoons sewing new winter dog jackets, while the girls were wathing the village center from the window…

And there they are… Charlie and Minion in the new jackets. On the second picture there’s Jerry in his new dinosaurus jacket 😀

Mmy shades of amber …

After few months I couldn’t work I started to groom our pack. Finally also Charlie is handsome nicely smelling boy. I must admit he’s enjoing the stay in house a lot 🙂

Tessie’s crucial ligament surgery was postponed for one week later. On this picture she’s one day after the surgery and trying to be a boss of my office. Just typical Tess. In the beginning of December we have an appointment for the control x-ray and then we will have other one and a half moth of a restricted calm regime.

Second Birthday of Anniversary Litter

UPDATED: added photos of Goldie

We can’t stop the time flying. Anniversary littermates‘ve celebrated the 2nd birthday!

We made a small family birthday party at home: from left above Minion, Maja, Charlie, Diamond, bottom from left Donatello and Tessinka.

Untill we managed to set all the dogs in their places for the picture, Maja has stolen few pieces of salmon from the birthday cake (quickly and unnoticed as usually).

We also got Woody‘s pictures of freshly-being-two-years-old – big thanks!

And this one is a birthday greeting picture of Pamino (Anniversary Wood Ambershades) from Facebook.

And also there are pictures from Goldie (Anniversary Gold Ambershades) just few days before he turned two.

And for those who’re interested how we’re passing the hot days – we can show that very very cool 🙂 We wish everyone to have cool summer!

Anniversary litter 13 months

Our Anniversary litter’s celebrated 13 months at July 9.

We have nice pictures and news from Woody. He’s a great cuddler and also loves to thumb on his back…

At home, I was trying to take some dog family pictures, but it is quite impossible to me to catch all our dogs in the shot.

Although I’m not a partidary of young dogs in the continental clip, I decided to shear Minion in it due to unexpected coat change (strange at this age, isn’t is :)?). We will have to wait a little until the clip fits and for the coat to grow up a little more. But by now both of us are very very contented.

Diamond had a little more bad luck. Due to parts of his coat completely missing and due to being extremely tangled I had to scissor him in a kind of modern clip. I truly hate this clip that makes him even bigger than he is. I’m really looking forward to clip him in something more suitable (yes, my secret wish is a continental too but we will se if we are able to maintain his hair).

Also our adults got a little bit shorter clips. Charlie is since some time ago being shaved “to the skin” from the top of nose to the top of the tail. We all realy love this trim, don’t ask me why…

And our Maja got the bikini trim again, still need to grow up some parts even more, but by now also contented.

And in the and a message to my mother: Mum, I love you even if you hate brushing 🙂

Regional Dogshow Džbán (CZ)

We attended a Regional Dogshow Džbán in Prague on 5th September with Charlie and Maja. The weather was warm and we enjoyed wonderful and calm sunny day.

The show was greatly organized, wonderful prices for the winners, fastfood and kiosk with dog supplies.

Both blondies compete in champion class under judge Alena Košťálová (CZ), both gaining the Regional Winner title and advanced to the afternoon competitions.

For the first (and probaby last) time were entered in competition of couples. It was great to try it!

In the final competition of the group IX FCI Maja was shortlisted which I consider a big succces for us.

Now, Charlie and Maja will have a show breat for some time and will devote to agility. You will see us (sporadicaly) in showrings with our youngsters.

Nice June 2014

This year is extremely busy for us. Finally, this June we had more time to spend with our dogs.

Club specialty Konopiště June 9th

After one year show break I entered Charlie to small club show near the place we live. I reported it in the spring post. Since the same day Charlie enjoys his terrier clip and lazy country life.

Outi Tenho visit in Prague June 21st

I had great opportunity to spend a Monday afternoon talking and sipping coffee with Outi Tenho and her daughter Rebecca from Old House kennel in Finland. Thank you both for the nice talk and hope to repeat it someday!

The last lesson of the agility course for begginers June 25th

The last Wednesday of June we spent on the last lesson of the agility course. The weather was perfect. This time there were prepared some jumps also for the owners. In the end of the lesson we has a hobby run. This time Maja was very quick and not concentered so we got a lot of  penalty points. Charlie ran – as usually – fine a certain and won the first place! He won other five free agility lessons for us and other nice gifts. We have a couple of videos from the end of the training, so the dogs are tired and unfocused a little. I’m sorry for not having rolled the first runs which were perfect to me.

National dogshow Klatovy June 29th

The last June Sunday I entered Maja to national dogshow in Klatovy (CZ). She was shown after a half year show break and with a lack of hair (eaten by Charlie a month and a half before). Despite of that – she realy had her day, she ran with energie and joy. In competition Maja won BOB!

Spring 2014

It is long time ago we published some news for the last time. We’re interesting and active spring.

Maja is officially a brood bitch

In March we passed with Maja club breeding examination and Maja is officially a brood bitch. The same time she got into her first heat, now she is my big adult girl. If you are interested in Maja’s health testing results, you can find them here. Maja’s full set of teeth and she is 57 cm tall. During this year I’m planning to have the genetic testing for both standards done.

Agility and obedience trainings

We managed to find agility and basic obedience training nearby, so since April we are participating the courses. We have no sporting ambitions, it is rather our hobby. Despite our expectations the dog who fell absolutely in love with agility was Charlie. Maja started to enjoy the trainings just after we showed her the beam. Donatello and Tess also participated two lessons of agility with us and enjoyed it well.

Shows

This year we made a long show pause. First reason are our new sporting activities, second was Maja’s growing hair after Charlie’s grooming first experience in January. By the time the hair was almost grown up in May (and when I entered Maja for a show) Charlie tried his “grooming” skills again and ate her hair for the second time, this time only on one side. If everything goes well and I will be able to keep Maja’s ear hair long, the lack of hair could be hidden under the ear hair.

Last weekeng me and Charlie participated after a year pause small club show five minutes driving from home. Charlie was entered for the first time in the honour class winning Ex.1 and club-CC. This was a nice end to his succesfull show carrier. After arriving home I groomed him in terrier clip for enjoying more the garden, the agility and feeling better in summer.

Hope to update the blog sooner than the last time!

Slovakian show weekend

We spent fenomenal family weekend in Slovakian Camp Area Kamenny mlyn – me, my husband, mom and brother and all our four dogs.

On saturday Club show under respected breed specialist Philip Langdon from Britain Charlie got VG (he really showed nothing for receiving better evaluation, I was said for taking him there with his actual form, but it happens).

Maja has presented herself well as always, in junior class winning Ex. 1, CAJC and Primus Junior title.

On Sunday there took place Poodle specialty judged by Austrian Otto Krcal.

The biggest surprise of the day was when Charlie decided to participate almost a little his last show and finaly was able to win the class with CAC and finish Slovakian beauty championship! I even haven’t dare to hope in it!

For Charlie this was deffinitevely his last show until he feels better. He is pretty tired after three full show seasons.

Maja got on Sunday Charlie’s role, getting her first VG :). We are not sad or angry, she has a lot of beautiful things ahead.

We all – both dogs and family enjoyed this pleasant summer hot weekend in Slovakia.

World Dog Show 2013 Budapest (HU)

It was my dream to participate a World dog show once, finally, I was little dissapointed, but not for the results.

Apricots, Reds and Silvers were judged by István Csík.

Charlie owing to his bad condition got VG, as we supposed. Desgracially I couln’t know in what condition he will be at the moment of sending the entry almost half a year before, when he was in his excellent life form.

Maja won junior class, the junior world winner competion of females you can see on some of the videos added.

Spring clubshow Prague (CZ)

Our last training clubshow before WDS. Charlie really not looks to be in the best condition, we will see how this happens in 14 days in Budapest.

Charlie showed enough to win champion class with Ex. 1 and CAC.

Maja had other excellent show day, for the first time in junior class at the age of 9 months won Ex. 1, her first CAJC and she crowned it with Junior Club winner and in the finals she became 3rd best junior female all sizes and colours!
